Little Stoke Primary School is located in a suburb to the North of Bristol, within the South Gloucestershire Local Authority. They approached us with a brief to transform a redundant IT suite into an area dedicated to students with Special Educational Needs, and the peripatetic staff who work with them. We developed a range of ideas for the conversion of the space, to include office space, discrete parent meeting rooms, and flexible open plan space with soft furnishings, colour, texture, and Audio Visual equipment. We produced Tender information to enable competitive pricing from 3 contractors, and helped to select the preferred team to develop details on site, and discharge Building Regulations approvals. The School Business Manager oversaw the works on site, and dealt with payments. Further to this project we looked to overhaul the dated toilet provision in the school, and designed a new approach to unisex toilet cubicles, using a proprietary system. We undertook a similar exercise in design and tender information to enable the school to progress works.
