Constructing Excellence at Bridport Cohousing

September 2, 2021

One of our biggest projects is progressing well on site and it's exciting to see the roofs on with the solar shading and the MVHR 'chimneys' taking shape. These are two key features that help the design meet the AECB building standard, which has been equated to 'Passivhaus Lite'. Other contributing design features are the super-insulated timber frame, good air tightness (≤ 1.5 h-1 @ 50 Pa), Air-Source Heat Pumps, and there is also a huge PV community micro-grid and battery bank.

Careful detailing and regular coordination with the builders is ensuring that the build quality is really high. CG Fry & Sons are doing a great job as Main Contractor on this Design and Build project. We are really proud to be part of the team that is delivering such an innovative, affordable mixed tenure Cohousing scheme.
