This project is for a family living in an already heavily modified house in South Bristol. The key aims were to make much better visual and physical links to the garden and in so doing provide more natural daylight into the kitchen and dining spaces.
A unified floor finish runs through the ground floor connected the entrance space all the way through to views out into the garden. Bifold and Patio doors placed within increased openings connect the inside family spaces to the sunny rear garden. A new kitchen and peninsula create improved dining, study and family spaces with a bench seat surrounding a table at the far end of the plan allowing busy cooks to converse with children and guests alike.
