HIGH(er) Streets

In support of Bristol's year as Green Capital 2015 we have been working in collaboration with TOWNCENTRED to develop a research paper for an urban development strategy for Bristol's transport arteries and many local centres.

The proposal looks to make higher density mixed use developments in and around existing infrastructure - to better support shops, public transport, community facilities, all without impacting on the city's heritage areas. This has been seen as a solution in other successful urban regeneration strategies internationally, including Melbourne, Australia.

We are presenting the paper to key city stakeholders including Bristol City Council to seek support of these principles in order to stimulate the city to provide more affordable housing and to improve our city's prospects even further.
